•Device is Waspmote Plug&Sense Smart Agriculture. GPRS+GPS.
•We are following the “over_the_air_programming.pdf” guide and experimenting gprs OTA update procedures with no success.
•The device is Waspmote v12 so we are using old API (v023) with Waspmote Pro IDE - v04. (Same issues also exist with the newer API and IDE)
•The GSM module is GPRS_SIM928A.
•GPRS and GPS samples work as excepted. The device can send & recive data and get a fixed gps location.
•We are using external FTP server method and have set different FTP Server softwares (filezilla,Windows Server built-in ftp) and experimented with different modes (active/passive) with same results.
•We have tried with different UPGRADE.TXT settings (NO_FILE or a valid OTA hex) again with the same results.
We are having below issues with OTA firmware updates.
1)None of the built-in examples work on the device. We get errors on WaspGPRS_Pro_core::getfilesizeFTP with status code -23 (error getting the file size (no answer from module)).
The “over_the_air_programming.pdf” states that for the OTA function to work the GSM firmware should be “1137B03SIM908M64_ST_ENHANCE”.
Our GSM firmware is “1138B05SIM928A64_ST_ENHANCE_EAT”. Can this be the issue? If so how can we get the proper firmware?
2)Windows version of Waspmote IDE v055 fails to export binary to OTA Files with the following output;
a.Caused by: java.nio.file.FileSystemException: C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Temp\untitled1241853565.tmp\sketch_jan11a\sketch_jan11a.pde.hex: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
Linux version works as expected.
3)What is the procedure to export binary OTA files with Waspmote IDE v04?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
